How to Choose the Correct Bond Amount:
The bond amount is determined by the number of nail salon employees (or hourly equivalent) employed by the nail salon owner. Nail salon owners who employ the equivalent of 2-5 full-time individuals who provide nail services must file a bond of at least $25,000. Owners who employ the equivalent of 6-10 nail employees require a minimum $40,000 bond. A minimum $75,000 bond is required for owners who employ the equivalent of 11-25 employees, and for owners who employ 26 or more full-time employees, a bond of $125,000 is required.
